On a quest for escapism, Catching Cairo blooms. A singer-songwriter-vocalist making big waves across the dance music spectrum, inspired by her surroundings and raw feelings of life and love. A collection of her influences and heritage, with roots in soundsystem culture Catching Cairo pulls from an extensive mixture of genres such as dub, indie, R&B, reggae, trip-hop, garage, DnB in addition to the spectrum of UK sound system music, citing artistic influences from Frank Ocean to Ms. Dynamite, Bombay Bicycle Club to Mala while remaining obsessed with the 60s era.
Having steadily become a captivating voice (fka Tiffani Juno) in Drum and Bass, house, jungle and underground dance previously featuring on tracks from the likes of Hybrid Minds (Touch), Bastion, Jakwob, Kasra (Guilty), Pinty, BCee (Draco) and Mungo's Hifi (Back in The Dayz) Catching Cairo proves she can turn her hand to anything that gets people moving. While the writing for her first solo DnB EP gathers pace, her first offering ‘Out Loud’ with Turno has just dropped – an uplifting and emotive anthem heartening listeners to not closet hard feelings or suffer in silence adding to her commendable catalog of tunes gripping hearts wherever they are; solo, on the move and in the dance.
